Ibanez BTB805MS TGF 5-String Multiscale Bass

The Ibanez BTB805MS is Ibanez’s response to the ultra-modern basses gaining popularity in recent times, with every creature comfort that the modern bassist could need on an electric bass. This bass sports a through neck construction, made up of a 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck with an Okoume and Ash body with a Poplar burl top, all beautifully shown off by the transparent grey finish. It features a Panga Panga fretboard that’s been set up as a 35”to 37” multi-scale fretboard with stainless steel frets and a zero fret, giving this bass one of the clearest B-strings you will hear on a 5-string and it’s significantly better for down-tuning than on a standard 34” scale bass. The BTB805MS is also the debut of Ibanez’s new T1 Humbuckers which are made up of two individually mounted coils whose heights can be set independently, allowing for many different sonic possibilities when used in conjunction with the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ.
