Oxygen Music can save you the time and hassle of selling and moving on your preloved music gear. Avoid Marketplace time wasters or the usual online fees with websites and dealing with shipping items. As a fully licensed Secondhand Dealer, we make it easy by offering to either purchase or offer consignment on working and playable used music equipment.

Sell Your Gear

We are a business and also need to make a dollar, so our expert and professional staff will assess your instrument or audio gear, research a reasonable and current market selling price and negotiate a fair purchase price with you. Items are assessed on a case-by-case basis, and we take into consideration things like market demand, condition, age and any likely cleaning, repairs or servicing we may need to invest.

Please do not expect an offer based on the top selling price you ‘researched’ on Ebay or Marketplace. This is not what we can offer. However, we endeavor to make your sale fair, quick & easy, hassle free and offer fast payment to you. If you’re wanting more, perhaps consider our Consignment option.

 

Consignment

We offer consignment on instruments and audio gear and handle all the details of selling your preloved gear on your behalf.  This is a great option for trying to achieve a higher market price. However, consignment selling can take some time and is not a sure guarantee of a sale or achieving the agreed sale price. Our staff will help you determine a likely and reasonable selling price with the aim to achieve market value and/or a quick sale.

We will commit to displaying,  promoting, caring for and selling your item with the same level of expertise and pride as we have with every other product in the store.  You can be sure your instrument is in the right hands with people who can sell instruments.

Terms & Conditions

· All consignment items must be clean and in playable, working order, including fresh strings.

· Any service, cleaning, restringing and/or set up fee we provide will be charged up front before item is placed on shop floor. Our Minimum service fee is $30 excluding parts/strings on all items that need work before being presented for sale however, this fee is subject to change depending on the amount of work needed.

· We will check all electronic items (Guitars, Amps, Pedals, Synths, Audio) are in working order, however we cannot be held responsible for any unknown or developing faults of electronics in used and aging equipment while consigned.

· All consigned items are displayed for a minimum of an Exclusive Three Month Term. During this time, you are not to list your item for private sale on Marketplace pages, Ebay, Gumtree, Reverb, etc. Should you cancel your consignment with us during this time, we charge a 10% early withdrawal fee calculated from the tagged sale price. This covers our efforts in listing and selling your item.

· Upon selling your item, the payment made to you is the final sale amount, minus 20% commission. Our consignment fee covers bank card/Paypal payment fees, Ebay fees, taxes, boxing/packing and costs to list items.

· On occasions we may be asked by a customer for a better price on your item, or we may feel the sale price needs to be lowered in order to make a sale for you. We reserve the right to adjust the sale price by no more than 10% of the original tagged price. This means you will also receive a slightly reduced payout amount. However, should we feel the tagged price is not realistic to the current market value, we will call you to discuss some options.

· For customer satisfaction and confidence we offer a 7 day as-described warranty. This allows the purchaser to play and assess the item and be sure it performs exactly as described. During this time, the customer is required to take care of the item, not make changes, disassemble or modify the product. It cannot be returned if there are changes or differences to the pre-purchase description. Warranty will only cover faults that were not disclosed in original description.

· Payment is made to you approximately 7 days after final purchase transaction and once 7 day warranty period is final. Payment is made via direct bank transaction.

· We can also offer payment in the form of a store credit/voucher to be used against other purchases for yourself if you prefer.

· We accept no responsibility on items/accessories you may have accidentally left in guitar cases, etc. (Straps, Cables, etc)

· Your item is cared for as if were new and fully insured while on consignment from fire and theft. Insurance amount is sale price minus the 20% commission fee.

· Any shipping fees to get your item to us or returned to you will be at the consignees cost.

· As a registered secondhand dealer, we require your License/ID details upon purchase and/or accepting of consigned equipment.
