CORT GB-Modern Open Pore Vintage Natural 5-String Bass Guitar

The Cort GB-Modern is the ultimate instrument for the player looking for the classic feel and sound of a J-bass but with a whole heaping of modern upgrades and aesthetics. Complimented by the MarkBass MB Pre-amp system the Nordstrand Big Single pickups provide a seriously pumped up single coil sound with the pre-amp offering powerful tone shaping options, allowing you to dial in the exact sound that you’re after. One of the main design goals of the GB-Modern was to keep the bass as lightweight as possible without carving huge chunks of wood out of it. In order to achieve this the body has been constructed as a “tonewood sandwich” of sorts, with a maple core surrounded by paulownia wings, covered by a beautiful poplar burl cap top and then a white ash cap on the back.
