The Boss OC-5 brings the classic octave tones from the OC-2 bang up-to-date with the most recent advances in pitch tracking technology. The OC-5 features two modes, vintage and poly, with vintage mode being the familiar octave sound of the OC-2 and poly mode being optimised for playing chords and more extended-range pitch effects. In poly mode the range knob sets the note range that the octave is applied to, with the Lowest Range setting applying the effect only to the lowest note of whichever chord you’re playing. This pedal also allows you to add an octave up to give your octave tone a little extra zing on top of everything.
