With the Digbeth Bass Preamp Laney have taken their versatile Digbeth bass amps and put all of that sonic goodness into a package that’s still capable of being your entire bass rig despite its size. The Digbeth Preamp still features all of the powerful tone-shaping capabilities that the amps do with the FET and TUBE signal paths which allow you to achieve the perfect blend of beef and gnarl plus the seesaw Tilt EQ which allows you to skew your tone to be rounder or more present depending on your needs at the time. If that’s not enough tone-shaping this pedal also features a four band EQ with low, frequency shiftable lo-mid, hi-mid, and treble controls.
Laney have packed about as many ins/outs into this pedals as they possibly could, with active and passive inputs to accommodate any bass, an effects loop allowing it to seamlessly integrate into an existing pedalboard or become the centrepiece of a new one, a regular output, a link output for use with multi-amp setups, an XLR DI-out which can output either pre or post EQ straight to a sound desk, as well as an aux-in for playing along to backing tracks, and a headphone out to practice silently if necessary.
