The deep 14"x8" mahogany shell produces a swampy, dark, and throaty "low-fi" sound when tuned low, capturing the essence of classic seventies recordings. When tuned higher, the Swamp Dawg cuts through with a saturated attack and rich body. Its 6-ply mahogany shell, 8 tube lugs, and triple-flanged steel hoops allow the drum to open up and resonate fully, while the 42-strand snare wires and double-ply coated Remo® Emperor batter head provide additional bite and responsiveness. With its natural satin finish and 30º bearing edges, this drum is as striking in appearance as it is in performance.
