The original Gibson model was introduced in the 1930’s as a cheaper option to its larger body acoustic guitars and it instantly became famous with blues players such as Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson and Lonnie Johnson. Its smaller, compressed body has a woody, tonal quality that’s comfortable and lightweight and is ideal for fingerstyle playing. The EL00 is made up of a Solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
