Directly modelled and paying homage to the famous ES-335 and Trini Lopez model, Dave Grohl has specifically requested features that fans will expect with such an iconic guitar, including the Semi-Hollow ES body, bound diamond sound holes, one piece mahogany neck with ellipitical profile, the Trini Lopez style headstock, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, Laurel Fretboard and classy split diamond fretboard inlays. This guitar wouldn't be complete without Dave's preferred Gibson USA Burstbucker pickups with the Burstbucker 2 at the neck and Burstbusker 3 at the bridge, all wired to Dav'es specifications with CTS® potentiometers, Mallory™ capacitors, and a Switchcraft® 3-way toggle switch and 1 /4" output jack.
