ELECTRO HARMONIX Silencer Noise Gate Pedal

The Electro Harmonix Silencer is a powerful little noise gate that not only functions as an inline noise gate but also features an effects loop, allowing you to isolate and tame all the noisy pedals on your board while keeping the gate away from your time-based effects. When used as an effects loop the Silencer uses the dry signal of your instrument to trigger whether the gate is open or close, ensuring that it’s all nice and tight. This pedal features three controls, Release, Reduction, and Thresh, controlling how long it takes for the gate to close (between 8ms and 4 seconds), how much the gated signal is reduced (up to -70dB), and how loud your input signal needs to be before the gate opens respectively.
