This pedal has all the features of the Heavy Metal pedal that came before it with the Level, Distortion and High/Low EQ knobs which you can crank to get that classic “Dimed” buzzsaw tone, however flick the “Burn” switch and you get a more modern, tighter feeling distortion that will stay nice and articulate even if you’re in a shred-off with the devil. The Hell Melter also features a dry blend knob which, along with the included noise gate, can help to tame the raw power of this circuit but it also makes it a good option for the bass player looking for a lot more grind, as well as a parametric Mid control that allows you to sculpt your tone to sit exactly as you want it. If all of that wasn’t enough this pedal also has a footswitch which turns on an additional boost if you need a little more screaming tube amp in your signal.
