The Casio CDP-S160 is a brilliant, compact, lightweight, and ultra-portable full-size, weighted key digital piano. Created to inspire musicians of all ages and abilities. The piano is loaded with 10 tones – including multiple styles of piano and electric piano as well as other instruments – which have been fine-tuned extensively since the previous model to allow for more rich expression and a natural feel. The weighted action is the Scaled Hammer Action II mechanism which replicates the touch of a grand piano, with textured keys simulating ebony and ivory. This piano is unlimited in the locations it can be played thanks to the ability to run entirely off of 6 X AA batteries as well as AC power. Some of the functions include: layer; metronome; transpose; temperament control (equal plus 16 variations); master tuning (A4 = 415.5Hz - 465.9Hz); and a chorus effect. The piano can be split into 2 smaller keyboards with the Duet function, great for lessons and duets. The piano features recording functionality in the form of a MIDI recorder. This piano has seamless integration with the CASIO MUSIC SPACE app for smartphone and tablet via USB, where piano settings can be easily adjusted, scores can be viewed and played, and music files can be played while isolating different elements. The CDP-S160 is compatible with the fixed three-pedal stand (CS-470P) and the three-pedal unit (SP-34), (both sold separately).
